This comprises the entire medical team. Depending on the disability, this will include:
- one or more doctors
- nurses
- physical therapist
- occupational therapist
- nutritionist
- psychologist or counselor
- ABA therapist (applied behavioral analysis)
- orthotics specialist
- and more
IN HOME
This category was the inspiration for Navigate Disability Network. Being able to live comfortably and functionally in a traditional home can be challenging for people with disabilities. There are many ways to restructure the existing home without disrupting family dynamics. This may include:
- adding ramps
- adjusting lighting
- dampening sounds and other stimuli
- adding play structures that aid development and sensory seeking
- automating sensors
- safety features (ie impede eloping)
- and more
OUTSIDE OF HOME
Whether it is a trip to the grocery store, or a visit to a theme park, we are here to facilitate the experience to get your needs and wants met while mitigating and managing the challenges often faced in communities not built for inclusivity and equity.
